GALESVILLE — The West Salem High softball team clinched a share of the Coulee Conference championship with an 11-0 six-inning victory at G-E-T on Monday.
The Panthers (15-2. 10-1 Coulee) won its 10th straight conference game and can win the title outright by beating the Red Hawks (9-4, 6-3) at home on Thursday.
West Salem scored twice in each of the first two innings before a 5-0 third that made it 9-0.
Senior Josie Brudos struck out 11, walked one and allowed three hits while pitching a complete game for the Panthers. She also walked twice, singled, stole a base, drove in a run and scored three times.
Center fielder Brooklyn Lee was 3 for 4 with a double and drove in three runs for West Salem, which had seven players drive in at least one run.
London Vandenhorst hit a home run and drove in two runs, and Briauna Mathison and Brooklyn Haverly-Ghelfi each doubled. Brenna Pontius also went 2 for 4.
Luther 4, Viroqua 3
ONALASKA — The Knights (3-9, 2-7 Coulee) scored the tying and winning runs on errors in the bottom of the seventh inning, and Addy Palubicki pitched a no-hitter to beat the Blackhawks.
Ashlyn Gudmundson led off the seventh with a walk before Rylee Weber and Avery Berg singled to load the bases.
A line drive off the bat of Keira Paus led to an error that plated the tying run, and a Karlie Bauer pop fly led to another that brought home Weber with the winning run.
Weber was 2 for 4 and recorded two stolen bases, and Palubicki struck out two, walked one and allowed three unearned runs.
Central 6, Aquinas 5
LA CROSSE — The RiverHawks (3-11, 2-4 MVC) ended a four-game conference losing streak with a win over the Blugolds (6-7, 2-6) at Pammel Creek.
Catcher Morgan Pacl was 3 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI, and third baseman Addie Lenz went 3 for 4 and drove in two runs for Central, which never trailed.
Left fielder Addy Roesler and pitcher Emma Roesler also drove in a run each for the RiverHawks, while second baseman Addy Watson went 3 for 3 with two doubles and three runs scored for Aquinas.
Catcher Rylee Klar was 2 for 3 and drove in two runs, and Lauren VonRuden went 2 for 3 for the Blugolds.
Onalaska 12, Sun Prairie West 5
SUN PRAIRIE — The Hilltoppers (8-6) had 15 hits and scored four runs in the first and third innings to beat the Wolves (5-10).
Sydney Kraus struck out 10 and allowed one earned run on four hits and a walk as Onalaska won its second game in a row.
Six players had at least two hits for the Hilltoppers, and center fielder Cayenne Zinnecker led the way by going 3 for 5 with two doubles and two runs driven in.
Right fielder MJ Heit was 2 for 5 with a solo home run, and left fielder Maryjane Flynn went 2 for 3 and drove in two runs.
Zoey Lichty, Kylie Gilhausen and Claire Weigel also had two hits each for Onalaska, which received doubles from Weigel, Gilhausen, Kraus and Zoe Koonce-O’Kane.
Marshfield 10, Holmen 1
Holmen 9, Marshfield 6
MARSHFIELD — The Vikings (11-5) bounced back from a tough first game to salvage a nonconference split.
Holmen erased a 5-2 deficit in the second game with a seven-run sixth inning.
Macy Kline, Gabi Stuhr and Makenna McHugh were all 2 for 3 in the second game. Stuhr doubled, and Kline drove in a run.
Allison Bainter doubled with the bases loaded to drive in three runs and provide the big hit of the seventh. Kline, Kaylee Mosser and Avalee Euler also drove in seventh-inning runs, and Kline put Holmen in front 6-5 when she scored on a passed ball.
Harper Tengblad also hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to get the Vikings on the board when they trailed 5-0.
