ALTOONA — The Aquinas High School boys soccer team opened its season with a 2-1 nonconference win over Altoona on Tuesday.
The visiting Blugolds received goals from Connor Benz and Caden Schams and assists from Jonny Woolever and Harry Griffith.
Aquinas begins the MVC season on Thursday by hosting Arcadia at Fields for Kids. The kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

EAU CLAIRE — Parker Stevemer had seven saves for the Rangers, who managed to get some shots but couldn’t beat either of the Huskies’ goalkeepers.
Logan sophomore Alex Sichone played a key role at center back, and two of North’s goals came late in the game and through opening created by the Rangers pushing the action to try and get back in the game.
