STEVENS POINT — The Onalaska High School baseball team concluded its regular season with a 4-2 nonconference victory over Stevens Point on Friday.
The Hilltoppers (13-9) won their fourth game in a row and for the fifth time in six games with the aid of a three-run top of the fourth inning.
Catcher Hunter Morse and first baseman Carson Zinnecker were both 2 for 3, and center fielder Bradyn DeLong went 2 for 4. Zinnecker doubled and drove in a run.
The game was tied at 1 until the fourth, which go rolling when a More single brought home Zinnecker.
Cooper Rudie followed with a fielder’s choice that scored Carson Campbell.
Campbell pitched four innings and Ian Kowal three during a combined five-hitter. Campbell struck out three and one earned run on two hits and a walk. Kowal allowed one unearned run on three hots while striking out two.
Onalaska is seeded eighth for the Division 2 tournament and hosts ninth-seeded Madison West in a regional semifinal on Tuesday.
