HOLMEN — The Holmen High School girls soccer team shut out its fourth opponent in five games, using three first-half goals to set the tone for a 5-0 nonconference victory over visiting Chippewa Falls on Thursday.
The Vikings — ranked eighth in Division 2 by the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association — improved their season record to 11-3-1 with their fifth straight win.
Junior Moira Linse stopped all three shots Chippewa Falls sent her way to preserve Holmen’s 10th shutout. The Vikings have allowed nine goals this season.
Senior Jocelyn Williams, sophomore Saige Ratajski and sophomore Amelia Dewey scored for Holmen in the first half. Williams was assisted by Ava Rivera, Ratajski by Lydia Sader and Dewey by Mallory Kemper. Williams and Dewey scored their first goals of the season.
Sophomore Paige Olson and senior Peyton Schneider scored in the second half, with Olson’s — her fifth — coming on a long-range shot assisted by Williams in the 49th minute. Schneider converted a free kick for the second game in a row.
Aquinas 4, Eau Claire Regis 1
EAU CLAIRE — Senior forward Alexa Myre scored a hat trick, and sophomore Hannah Miller added a goal as the Blugolds — ranked ninth in Division 4 by the WSCA — beat the Ramblers.
Miller and senior Hayden Zehren each had an assist as Aquinas improved its record to 12-1 with its ninth win in a row. The Blugolds play next at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Saturday.
Myre has 17 goals and 15 assists this season, and Miller pushed her season totals to 15 goals and five assists.

MENOMONIE — The Rangers (5-6-2) went on the road and won their second game in a row.
Junior Ong Moua was assisted by senior Emma Kolb for the first goal in the 39th minute, and Kolb added an unassisted goal in the 72nd minute.
