BLACK RIVER FALLS — The Holmen High School ASL wiffle ball team scored four runs in the top of the fifth inning, but Black River Falls held on for a 12-11 victory in a tournament championship game on Thursday.
The Vikings scored most of their runs in a back and forth game in the third and fifth innings.
Holmen scored five times in the third before getting the four in the fifth that tightened up the game.
Nick Hermann’s double and Carter Van Lin’s triple were the big hits of the third inning, and Landon Wietzen, Aiden Romskog and Hermann all hit doubles in the fifth.
The Tigers, however, were able to maintain their lead and win the game.
