Central baseball reunion: 1978, 1986 WIAA championship teams recognized at Copeland

The Central High School baseball program honored players and coaches from its 1978 and 1986 WIAA championship teams at Copeland Park on Friday.

The RiverHawks beat Eau Claire Memorial to win the Class A title in 1978 and Neenah 7-1 to win again in 1986. Both state tournaments were played in Wausau, and both teams were coached by Frank Thoronton, who was in attendance.
