WEST SALEM — The West Salem High School girls soccer team won its first MVC match of the season in convincing fashion on Monday.
The Panthers (2-4-2, 1-2-2) had four players score at least one time in a 9-1 victory over visiting Sparta.
Senior Maya Hoff and junior Ava Schuster both had a hat trick to lead the offensive domination. Hoff scored West Salem’s first, third and sixth goals, and Schuster its second, eighth and ninth.
Mia Lehman added two goals and Amelia Karr one for the Panthers, who will look for their second conference win when they host Logan/Luther (3-4-2, 2-3-1) on Thursday.
