ELKHORN — The La Crosse co-op boys lacrosse team dropped a pair of games at a triangular hosted by Elkhorn High School on Saturday.
The Lightning didn’t get their offense going until the second half in an 8-2 loss to Janesville before scoring five times in the fourth quarter to tighten up an 18-11 loss to Elkhorn.
Luther’s Jax Hendrickson and Aquinas’ Luke Boberg each scored once in the loss to Janesville. Holmen’s Devin Caulum made 14 saves in goal.
Hendrickson scored five goals against the Elks, who had a 10-3 lead and answered a stretch of three La Crosse goals with five of their own.
Boberg and Onalaska’s Milo Temp also scored twice for the Lightning. Temp also had an assist.
La Crosse (1-10) plays a pair of ranked teams on Friday, when they travel to Waunakee to play fourth-ranked Madison Edgewood and the top-ranked Warriors.
