LA CROSSE — The Logan/Luther co-op girls soccer team scored two goals after a scoreless first half and lightning delay to beat Central 2-1 at Swanson Field on Tuesday.
Senior Emma Kolb scored on one free kick in the 46th minute, and another in the 50th to give the Rangers (3-0-1, 2-0 MVC), who have won three straight games since opening the season with a tie.
The RiverHawks (1-1, 0-1) answered when senior Ellia Dale scored in the 69th minute with an assist from senior Chloe Ackerman but couldn’t get the tying goal.
Junior Nanwan Lor had four saves for Logan/Luther.
Aquinas 5, Onalaska 2
ONALASKA — The visiting Blugolds scored the first four goals in an MVC victory over the Hilltoppers.
Anna Binsfeld and Alexa Myre each scored twice for Aquinas. Binsfeld scored the first and third goals and Myre the fourth and fifth. Hannah Miller also scored for the Blugolds.
Francesca Vriens and McKenna Alderman scored for Onalaska. Alderman’s goal, which cut her team’s deficit to 4-2, included an assist from Finley Walters.
Madelynn Grossbach had 10 saves for Aquinas, while Addison Shelton and Avery Cowley split time in net for Onalaska. Shelton stopped six shots and Cowley eight.
