ONALASKA — The Luther High School boys gold team placed third in the first Coulee Conference meet of the season on Monday.
The Knights recorded a team score of 180 at Coulee Golf Bowl and finished behind Black River Falls (174) and Hillsboro/Royall (176) while holding off fourth-place Arcadia (186).
Luther was led by sophomore Robert Bruns, who was second individual with a 4-over-par 40. She had a birdie on No. 4 to highlight his round.
Freshman Jonah Matzke was 12th with a 46, and senior Brody Greeno, senior Gannon Hagedorn and freshman Nolan Miller were all part of a tie for 16th place with 47s.
West Salem placed fifth with a team score of 188.
Junior Drew McConkey led the Panthers with a 44 that was good for sixth place overall. Junior Kayden Tauscher added a 45, senior Coen Knutson a 47 and freshman Cadyn Reding a 52.
