ONALASKA — Ten players scored for the Onalaska Luther High School girls basketball team in a 61-43 nonconference victory over visiting De Soto on Saturday.
The Knights (14-3) ran their winning streak to five games by gradually pulling away from the Pirates (10-8), who were outscored in each half.
Senior Macie Neumeister scored a team-high 15 points for Luther and made three 3-pointers to go with seven steals, four assists and three rebounds. Senior Allie Zittel also made three 3s and added 13 points and three rebounds.
Payton Holub scored nine points and had four steals and three rebounds, and Cara Unke finished with eight points and four boards for the Knights.
Onalaska 57, Wautoma 14
WAUTOMA — The Hilltoppers (9-9) reached the .500 mark with their second victory in a row.
Onalaska held the Hornets (0-16) to four points in the second half and was led by sophomore Lauren Pica’s 12 points. Pica scored 10 in the first half as the Hilltoppers jumped out to a 30-10 lead.
Sophomore Finley Walters and freshman Kayla Ketelhut each scored nine points for Onalaska. They each made one 3-pointer.
Caledonia 80, Maple River 37
CALEDONIA — The Warriors (19-3) successfully bounced back from Thursday’s loss at Goodhue by winning for the 11th time in 12 games.
Senior Josie Foster scored a game-high 25 points. Aubrie Klug added 22 and Jessica Stendel 14 for Caledonia, which plays next at Rushford-Peterson on Friday.
