ONALASKA — The Onalaska High School girls basketball team couldn’t out a tough first half behind it on the way to a 57-40 nonconference loss to visiting Fall Creek at John Shelton Court on Saturday.
The Hilltoppers (7-9) found themselves in a 17-point hole by the end of the first half, and that’s where the deficit remained the rest of the afternoon.
Sophomore Finley Walters and senior Jenna Gansen each scored eight points for Onalaska, which has lost two straight games.
Sophomore Natalie Marso added seven for the Hilltoppers, who play at Sparta on Friday.
