HARTFORD — The Holmen High School boys golf team jumped a couple of spots from the first day and completed the Washington County Invitational by placing 36th out of 54 teams on Saturday.
The Vikings shot a 340 on Saturday and finished with a 36-hole team score of 684 to finish four shots behind Plymouth. De Pere won the championship with a 580.
Senior Logan Pinnow followed up an 83 from the first day with a 9-over-par 81 on Saturday at the Hartford Golf Club. Pinnow shot a 3-over 39 on the back nine, birdied No. 10 and tied for 91st place individually.
Senior Sawyer Genz shot an 85 on Saturday after opening with a 91. He shot 4 over in the front nine and 9 over on the back for his second round.
Senior Braylan Welch matched Genz’s 172 by shooting an 84 on Saturday. He was 8 over on the front and 4 over on the back. Welch also birdied No. 10 and shot par on three other holes on the back nine.
Senior Cole Vanlin closed out with a second round of 90 and going 9 over on the front and 9 over on the back. He opened with an 88 and finished with a two-day score of 178.
