High school hockey report: Onalaska/La Crosse boys can’t run win streak to two

MADISON — The Onalaska/La Crosse co-op boys hockey team allowed two goals in the second period and two more in the third in a 4-1 nonconference loss to Madison Memorial at the Madison Ice Arena on Friday.

The Hilltoppers (1-1) got on the board after the Spartans scored their first two goals, and it came when junior Jackson Egan found the back of the net unassisted at even strength with 13 minutes, 36 seconds on the clock.

BALDWIN — The Tigers lost two games at the United Civic Center but went to overtime in the opener.

The Tigers held the shooting advantage 31-27 and twice led before allowing the final two goals.

Forwards Isabella Arne and Kaia Moore scored goals for Black River Falls, which led 1-0 in the first period and 2-1 in the second.

Arne’s goal was assisted on by Alizah Hayes and Shelby King to start the scoring. Moore’s goal snapped a 1-1 tie and was set up by King and Arne.
