WEST SALEM — The Holmen High School ASL wiffle ball team excelled in the middle innings to score a 10-5 victory over West Salem/Bangor at West Salem Middle School on Tuesday.
The Vikings broke a scoreless tie with five runs in the third inning and scored five more times in the fourth to pull away from the Panthers.
Holmen had seven hits in the third. Landon Wientzen led off with a double, and Kai Rice, Aiden Romskog, Nick Hermann and Michael Warren all followed with singles to get the scoring going.
Carter Van Lins’s double and Kian Carlisle’s single finished off the scoring in the third.
Gabe Schhams, Karsen Nelson, Gabriella Villareal, Connor Siverhus, Rice and Romskog all had singles during the five-run fourth inning.
West Salem/Bangor scored four times in the bottom of the fifth inning to get within the final score.
