Monday girls wrestling: Holmen, Logan/Central competitors have big nights

HOLMEN — A handful of local girls came out of the Holmen Scramble with three victories at the Bernie L. Ferry Fieldhouse on Monday.

The event, which had representatives from 15 teams, also included a boys junior varsity scramble.

Holmen junior Kaytlynn Lambries (36-10) won all three of her matches by pin and recorded pins against both Onalaska/Luther’s Megan Ramsay (1 minute, 25 seconds) and Sparta’s Veda Lepley (1:15).

Holmen juniors Kayleen Bazan (26-9) and Ellie Adam (18-10) also won three times by pin as did Logan/Central junior Emylie Vang (21-14) and Logan/Central freshman Ellin Bemis (21-9).

Holmen senior Peyton Kratochvill (34-13) won twice by pin and scored a major decision of 15-6 over Arcadia’s Kalyce Sobotta.
