CALEDONIA — The Caledonia High School girls basketball team won for the second time in three games and remained unbeaten in the Three Rivers-East with a 76-53 victory over visiting Rushford-Peterson on Monday.

The Warriors (17-5, 6-0) beat the Trojans for the second time this season and pulled away from a 16-point halftime lead.

Senior Aubrie Klug scored a game-high 25 points and made seven of her team’s 14 3-pointers. She has averaged 29 points of her past three games.

Senior Nicole Banse added four 3-pointers and 16 points, and senior Kensey King and freshman Ashlyn Reinhart scored 10 points apiece for Caledonia, which plays at Stewartville (18-1) on Thursday.

Sparta 67, Logan 61

SPARTA — The Rangers (4-14, 1-8 MVC) nearly pulled off a second straight victory, but the Spartans beat them for the second time this season.

Logan, which lost to Sparta by 17 points the first time the teams played, trailed by eight at halftime but tightened things up with some full-court pressure in the second half.

Senior Kaia DePaolo scored 12 points for the Rangers but fouled out with five minutes left to hurt Logan’s comeback efforts.

Junior Emma Bacon scored a team-high 16 points, and senior Lydia Mason added 15 for the Rangers. Bacon made one 3-pointer in each half, and teammate Kenna Streeck made three for nine points in the second half.

Mason scored eight points in the first half and seven in the second for Logan, which beat Tomah in its previous game.
