There will be more names worthy of being on this list as the season progresses, but with games beginning this week, here is a list of players to be aware of as we get rolling.
Aquinas senior Samantha Davis and Central senior Alahnna Simpson are the cream of the crop after their contributions for three seasons — and Division I scholarships — as they battle at the top of the MVC, but expect Aubrie Klug and Nicole Banse to keep Caledonia relevant this winter, too.

NICOLE BANSE, sr., Caledonia: All-Three Rivers Conference performer who averaged 11.6 points and made 27 3-pointers for the state-qualifying Warriors, who finished with a 29-4 record.
JOSIE BRUDOS, sr., West Salem: All-Coulee Conference first-teamer who averaged 13.7 points and 2.5 steals per game while making 54 3-pointers for unbeaten conference champions.
CHARLEY CASEY, sr., Holmen: All-MVC first-teamer who averaged 10.4 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots per game for MVC’s third-place team.
SAMMY DAVIS, sr., Aquinas: Returning MVC Player of the Year and Division I Bradley commit who averaged 17.2 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game for the unbeaten conference champions. She has scored 1,541 career points.
AVA FERNHOLZ, jr., Aquinas: All-MVC second-teamer who averaged 8.4 points, a team-high 3.8 assists and 2.2 steals for the unbeaten conference champions.
ELLIE GILLITZER, jr., Central: All-MVC second-teamer who averaged 9.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 steals for the MVC’s second-place team.
KAYLA KETELHUT, so., Onalaska: All-MVC second-teamer who averaged a team-high 10.0 points per game and ranked second in rebounds (4.2) for the Hilltoppers.
MACY KLINE, sr., Holmen: All-MVC first-teamer who led the Vikings in points (11.4), assists (4.3) and steals (3.6) per game while ranking second in rebounds (5.0).
AUBRIE KLUG, sr., Caledonia: All-Three Rivers Conference performer who averaged 20.8 points per game and upped that to 21.8 over the final 6 games as the Warriors (29-4) qualified for the Class AA state tournament.
OLIVIA PASSEHL, jr., Onalaska: Made 70 3-pointers and averaged 9.6 points per game for Aquinas as a sophomore. and joins a roster with many scorers.
ANNA RADCLIFFE, sr., Melrose-Mindoro: Led the Mustangs in both scoring with 13.2 points per game and rebounding with 5.8 per game. She made 40 3-pointers
ALAHNNA SIMPSON, sr., Central: All-MVC first-teamer and Division I Eastern Illinois commit who averaged 20.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.1 steals for a 18-8 team that was second in the MVC. She has scored 1,363 points during her career.
