LA CROSSE — The Onalaska/Holmen/Aquinas/G-E-T girls swimming co-op picked up a 103-67 victory over Central/Logan/West Salem — its first in four years in the series — at UW-La Crosse on Tuesday.
The Onalaska co-op picked up a standout victory from its 200-yard medley relay of Bethany Hale, Josie Rupple, Elin Gilles and Lydia Foster, who were collectively timed at 1 minute, 56.35 seconds.
The win was just one of four for Hale, a senior from Aquinas who also posted victories in the 500 freestyle (5:33.56), 100 backstroke (1:02.41) and swam with Onnalee Wolff, Lydia Hale and Zeena Ott to win the 400 freestyle relay (3:52.93).
Hale’s times in both individual events were season bests.
Wolff also won the 200 freestyle with a personal record of 2:02.85, and the team of Gilles, Laney Brandl, Ott and Foster won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:48.72.
First-year coach Abigail Schauske also threw new races at Elianna Peterson, Juni Waller and Jade Gasnier and was pleased with the results.
The La Crosse co-op received a pair of victories from Central sophomore Elle Regan in the 200 individual medley (2:18.72) and 100 butterfly (1:01.07), while Logan senior Johanna Hall won the 50 freestyle in 26.06 seconds.
Freshman Lily Wolf of West Salem also posted two victories for her co-op, picking up wins in the 100 freestyke (58.69) and 100 breaststroke (1:18.6).
