HOLMEN — Holmen High School used its Fine Arts Center to celebrate the collegiate athletic futures of 17 of its athletes on Wednesday.
Three committed to Division I programs and four others to Division II schools as videos of their accomplishments played on a screen behind them and they sat at a table with family.
Macy Kline (UW-Green Bay volleyball), Brenna Schmidt (University of South Alabama track and field) and Joe Meeter (University of North Dakota State baseball) were the Division I signees, and Jack Barth (Northern Michigan University football), Jagger Jepson (Northern Michigan University football), Alivia Wickstrom (Winona State University track and field) and Sabrina Lechnir (Winona State University cross country and track and field) finalized Division II plans.
Abry Bloyer (UW-La Crosse track and field), Lydia Lazarescu (UW-La Crosse track and field), Daniel Ott (California Institute of Technology water polo), Kendall Kozlowski (UW-Eau Claire track and field), Colin Williams (UW-Stevens Point football), Samara Collins (Marian University hockey), Charley Casey (UW-La Crosse volleyball), Alex Berget (Saint Mary’s University basketball) and Ryland Eickhoff (UW-La Crosse track and field) announced Division III commitments.
Violet Chase is headed to St. Cloud State University to compete on its dance team.
