EAU CLAIRE — Anderson Fortney won twice without losing a set at No. 1 singles to lead the Aquinas High School boys tennis team in splitting two duals at the Eau Claire Regis Invitational on Friday.
The Blugolds beat Sauk Prairie 7-0 and lost to Hudson 4-3. Mitchell Fortney also won twice at No. 2 singles as did the No. 1 singles team of Tegan Schott and Jaedan Silcox. Fortney won 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1, and Schott and Silcox followed a 6-0, 6-0 win against Sauk Prairie’s No. 1 team with a more exciting 6-0, 4-6, 14-12 victory against Hudson’s.
