BARABOO — The Onalaska/La Crosse co-op boys hockey team closed out its regular season with a 6-3 victory over Baraboo/Portage at Pierce Park on Saturday.
The Hilltoppers (12-12) snapped a two-game losing streak as they head into Tuesday’s WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal against seventh-seeded Madison Memorial at the Madison Ice Arena. Onalaska/La Crosse is seeded 10th.
Parker Lycke, a senior from Logan, scored two goals and assisted on another for the Hilltoppers, who led 1-0 after one period and 3-0 after two. The goals were his eighth and ninth, and the assist his 10th of the season.
Lukas Suchan, a sophomore from Logan, added two goals — one in the second period and one in the third — and both came on the power play.
Jackson Tillman and Hudson Smith also scored for Onalaska/La Crosse. Jackson Egan, Liam Branson, Sawyer Meyer and Paul Soderberg also had assists for the Hilltoppers.
