Tuesday gymnastics report: West Salem co-op wins Coulee Conference meet

WESTBY — The West Salem co-op gymnastics team won a Coulee Conference meet hosted by Westby’s co-op with a team score of 139.4 on Tuesday.

The Panthers bested the GMC team (137.8) and Westby co-op (135.375).

Senior Kennedy Garbers was third all-around with a score of 34.975, and junior Camdyn Lyga fifth at 34.75.

Lyga won the vault (9.225) and placed second on the floor exercise (9.525), while Garbers was fourth on the balance beam (8.875).

West Salem’s Olivia Maki was fourth on the vault (8.85) and fifth on the floor exercise (9.1), Layla Hirschboeck and Garbers tied for fourth on the uneven bars (8.475), and Hailey Ives placed fifth on the balance beam (8.8).

Caledonia co-op 133.9, Stewartville 113.85

CALEDONIA — The Warriors posted a victory and was led by Vivian Kittleson’s top all-around score of 34.555. Harper Myrah (33.975) and Tyla Halverson (33.075) followed.

Kittleson won the floor exercise (9.1) and uneven bars (8.4), and Myrah won the vault (8.675) and balance beam (8.65). Kittleson was second in the vault (8.475) and Halverson second on the balance beam (8.55).
