STEVENS POINT — The Holmen High School girls wrestling team posted the highest team score at the WIAA Stevens Point Sectional on Friday and will send three qualifiers to the individual state meet at the Kohl Center next week.

Junior Aini Anderson, junior Kaytlynn Lambries and junior Avalee Euler all won or placed second in their brackets and will continue their seasons at the state tournament, which begins on Thursday and concludes on Saturday.

West Salem/Bangor freshman Sophia Anderson and Logan/Central junior Rachael Hang also qualified from the sectional.

Aini Anderson (42-2) had little trouble advancing and won her 100-pound bracket with a technical fall and two pins. She started with an 18-0 victory over Nekoosa/Port Edwards’ Rylan Oleson before pinning Wisconsin Dells’ Sierra Cash in 32 seconds in a semifinal and Marshfield’s Aubrey Engevold in 3:36 to win the title.

Lambries (43-10) won at 126, where she pinned her way to the finals and won that via technical fall. Lambries beat Stevens Point’s Nhava Cabral 15-0 for the title and set that up with a pin of Marshfield’s Valencia De La Torre (1:18) and Mauston/Necedah’s Sophie Pitts (27 seconds).

Euler (35-10) placed second at 185 after she was pinned by Westfield’s Arianna Weber in the semifinal round. She then won twice in the consolation bracket and secured second place with an 18-2 technical fall over Tomah’s Lucy Gross.

Sophia Anderson advanced with a second-place finish at 107. Princeton/Green Lake’s Keira Richter stopped her with a 14-6 major decision in the semifinals, but Anderson moved to the second-place match via medical forfeit, then pinned Blair-Taylor’s Jayda Ristay in 1:50.

Hang (41-11) won by pin, then handed New Lisbon’s Gracey O’Brien a 13-8 defeat in the semifinal round before she was pinned in the finals. Hang advanced without having to wrestle by virtue of her win over O’Brien.

Holmen senior Peyton Kratochvill (40-14, 114), Onalaska/Luther freshman Maya Foster (26-25, 120), Holmen freshman Mallory Kemper (22-18, 132), Onalaska/Luther freshman Evelyn Hooker (37-17, 152) and Logan/Central freshman Ellin Bemis (22-12, 165) all placed third and just missed out on qualifying spots.

The Vikings finished with 88.5 team points, which left them ahead of Adams-Friendship (62), Princeton/Green Lake (53.5), Wautoma/Wild Rose (48) and Marshfield (41.5).
