LA CROSSE — Junior Jayden Bartels scored 25 points, and sophomore teammate Cohen Kendhammer made six 3-pointers and added 20 as the Holmen High School boys basketball team beat Logan 85-66 at the Steve Hole Field House on Friday.
The Vikings (13-10, 4-7 MVC) snapped a two-game losing streak and completed a season sweep of the Rangers (2-20, 1-10), who trailed by 16 points after one half.
Holmen made 19 3-pointers on 36 attempts, and Bartels matched Kendhammer’s six. Junior Brody Wilber also made five 3s for 15 points.
Senior Alex Berget added 10 points, Bartels a game-high eight rebounds and junior Jax Meyer a team-high six assists.
Central 61, Aquinas 50
LA CROSSE — The second-place RiverHawks (18-3, 10-2 MVC) — ranked eighth in Division 2 for this week’s Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports media poll — completed a season sweep of the third-place Blugolds (18-4, 8-3) — ranked sixth in Division 3.
Junior Anthony Jones scored a game-high 29 points while making 10 of 15 shots and grabbed seven rebounds for Central, which won its fourth game in a row. Junior teammate Will Schilling added 10 points.
Aquinas was led by senior Logan Becker’s 14 points, but its duo of Finley Strom and Calvin Bahr that averages a combined 34 points per game, was held to a combined 15.

Cannon Falls 81, Caledonia 63
CANNON FALLS — Sophomore Grant King scored 18 points and senior Aaron Stemper 13 for the Warriors (15-9), who had won three games in a row.
King has averaged 27.8 points over his past four games and Stemper 17.8.
The Bombers had a 46-34 halftime lead and expanded it a bit in the second half.
