CALEDONIA — The Caledonia High School boys basketball team jumped out to a 14-point halftime lead before finishing off an 86-81 Three Rivers-East victory over La Crescent-Hokah on Friday.
The Warriors (12-7 overall, 4-1 conference) won for the fourth time in five games heading into a home game against Central (14-3) on Tuesday.
Sophomore Grant King scored a team-high 27 points and made three 3-pointers during a 19-point first half.
Sophomore Colin Stemper added 13 points and senior Aaron Stemper 11 for Caledonia. Junior Jacoby Hammell also scored 10.
Luther 80, Logan 77
LA CROSSE — The Knights (9-8) came back from a 14-point halftime deficit to beat the Rangers (2-15) at the Steve Hole Fieldhouse.
Senior Brody Greeno made 10 of 17 shots and 3 of 7 from 3-point range for a team-high 28 points to go with eight rebounds for Luther. Junior teammate Logan Pierce added 25 points and was 6 for 13 on 3-pointers to go with five rebounds, and junior Trent Berg scored 12 points to go with his five rebounds.
Logan, which was outscored 51-34 in the second half, was led by sophomore Henry Bosch’s 18 points and senior Dio Leone’s 15 points and 4-for-9 shooting from 3-point range.
West Salem 74, G-E-T 54
WEST SALEM — Senior Tyson Labus scored a team-high 23 points for the Panthers, who gave themselves some space with a 10-2 run late in the game after the Red Hawks had pulled to within 54-48 on a 3-point play by sophomore Talon Fabian with 5:19 remaining.
Labus also had eight rebounds, and junior teammate Drew McConkey 11 points and 10 rebounds for West Salem, which is 10th in Division 2 for this week’s Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports media poll. Senior Nate Dillaber added 14 points with four 3-pointers, and senior Makebo Anderson scored 13 with three 3s.
G-E-T — eighth in Division 3 of the media poll — was led by senior Mason Brone’s 24 points.
