HOLMEN — Gabe Schams made his first start in goal, and his performance helped the Holmen ASL floor hockey team post a 4-1 victory over Logan at the Bernie L. Ferry Fieldhouse on Thursday.
Schams’ performance allowed Carter Van Lin to contribute offensively and he did just that with two of his team’s goals. Gabriella Villareal and Aiden Romskog also scored for the Vikings. Villareal’s goal was her first of the season.
Holmen celebrated putting players in different positions and seeing them succeed. Andrew Bell, Kian Carlisle and Kai Rice were singled out for their efforts for joining the short-handed Logan team and making the game possible.
Bell scored Logan’s goal.
