HOLMEN — The Holmen High School ASL floor hockey team qualified for a championship game by beating fourth-seeded Logan 4-0 in a postseason semifinal at the Bernie L. Ferry Fieldhouse on Tuesday.

Carter Van Lin had a hat trick, and Kai Rice added a goal as the Vikings scored once in the first period and three times in the third to advance to the championship game against West Salem/Bangor on Thursday.

Van Lin scored his first goal in the first period and twice in the third — one before and once after Rice’s goal in the third — in the victory.

Goalie Gabe Schams had a big second period as the Rangers broke free for several good shots on the net, and Kian Carlisle, Gabriella Villareal, Nick Hermann and Jett Lewis were big contributors both offensively and defensively for Holmen.

Their defense was especially helpful for Schams, who recorded the first shutout of his career.

West Salem/Bangor 4, Black River Falls 3 (2 OT)

BLACK RIVER FALLS — The Panthers advanced to the championship game against Holmen by beating Black River Falls in extended time at Black River Falls Middle School.
