CHIPPEWA FALLS — The Onalaska/Holmen/Aquinas/G-E-T girls swim team kept alive an unbeaten season with an invitational victory at Chippewa Falls on Saturday.
O/H/A/G won the invitational with a team score of 403. Eau Claire Memorial was second at 384 and Rice Lake third at 297.
Bethany Hale was part of three victories and Onnalee Wolff two for the team, which posted one relay victory.
Hale won the 100-yard freestyle n 55.58 seconds and added a win in the 100 freestyle with a season-best time of 2:00.97 in the 200 freestyle.
Both teamed up with Sofia Gerlach and Elin Gilles to win the 200 medley relay (2:00.13), and Wolff swam a season-best 5:35.28 to win the 500 freestyle and a 2:04.69 for second place in the 200 freestyle.
Gilles added a runner-up finish in the 100 butterfly (1:04.42) and teamed with Hale, Zeena Ott and Aubrey Ebersold to finish third in the 200 freestyle relay (1:47.29).
The 200 medley relay team of Lydia Hale, Alivia Wickstrom, Ebersold and Laney Brandl also placed third in 2:08.25.
Ebersold (27.84), Ellianna Peterson (30.76) and Jade Gasnier (42.53) posted lifetime bests in the 50 freestyle, and Ajax McConnell had a lifetime best of 1:06.67 in the 100 freestyle.
Ella Handke had season bests of 32.65 in the 50 freestyle and 1:41.74 in the 100 breaststroke, and Laney Brandl and Peterson had season bests in the 100 freestyle at 1:03.48 and 1:15.48, respectively.
Other season bests were recorded by Ellie Witcik (500 freestyle, 6:06.49), Jillian Wise (100 backstroke, 1:17.23), McConnell (100 backstroke, 1:18.54), Gerlach (100 breaststroke, 1:22.64) and Gaby Hoff (100 breastroke, 1:33.6).
