ONALASKA — The Onalaska Luther High School girls basketball team used a strong first half to set itself up for a 78-51 victory over visiting Osseo-Fairchild in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal game on Tuesday.
The fifth-seeded Knights (19-6) advanced to a semifinal game at fourth-seeded Stratford (19-5) on Friday with their fifth win in the last seven games.
Senior Macie Neumeister made 6 of 12 attempts from the 3-point line and scored 24 points for Luther, which had a 38-11 lead by halftime. She also made all six of her free throws, grabbed five rebounds and handed out three assists. Senior Allie Zittel added 13 points with three 3-pointers and three steals.
Senior Payton Holub scored 10 points for the Knights, who made 13 3-pointers and took advantage of 31 Osseo-Fairchild turnovers.

Tomah 49, Logan 40
LA CROSSE — The ninth-seeded Timberwolves (2-23) won for the second time this season and avenged two regular-season losses to the eighth seeded Rangers (6-19) in a quarterfinal played at the Steve Hole Field House.
Logan scored 13 of the first 14 points and held Tomah without a field goal for the fir 9 minutes before making just two itself over the final 10:40 of the first half. Junior Lydia Mason scored a team-high 12 points for Logan, which led 19-13 at the half and had its last advantage at 32-29 before a Lily Noth tied it for the Timberwolves with 9:54 left.
Logan’s Kaia DePaolo made a free throw to get the Rangers within 43-38 with 2:05 left, and Mason rebounded and scored off the missed second attempt to make it 43-40 before Tomah scored the final six points.
