MADISON — The La Crosse co-op boys lacrosse team is still looking for its first victory of the season after dropping a 10-4 decision to the Madison La Follette co-op (Madison Ultra) at Lussier Field on Saturday.
The Lightning, a team comprised of players from Central, Logan, Aquinas, Holmen, Onalaska, Luther and West Salem, received two goals and two ground balls from West Salem senior Jacob Villela to lead their attack.
Central senior Logan Sauter and Onalaska sophomore Milo Temp also scored for the Lightning (0-3), who trailed 3-1 after the first period and 7-2 at halftime.
Temp and Villela lead the team with four goals each this season.
Junior Devin Caulum had six saves for La Crosse and has 26 while playing in all three games for the Lightning this season.
