MIDDLETON — The La Crosse/West Salem co-op boys swim team scored 40 points in an 11-team invitational hosted at Middleton High School on Saturday.
The team placed 14th in the 200-yard freestyle relay and 17th in the 400 freestyle relay. Junior Gabe Driscoll, junior Camden Daykin, junior Parker Wolff and sophomore Bennett Bossingham were times at 1 minutes, 46.25 seconds in the 200, and Driscoll, Bossingham, junior Charlie Larson and sophomore Nathan Grilley were timed at 4:16.89 in the 400.
The team had three individuals among the top 30 in two individual events.
Grilley was 22nd (1:13.8), Bossingham 23rd (1:14.51) and sophomore Ethan Davy 26th (1:17.35) in the 100 backstroke, and Driscoll was 25th (1:16.1), Daykin 27th (1:16.69) and Wolff 29th (1:17.02) in the 100 breaststroke.
Wolff was also 22nd in the 100 freestyle (57.95), sophomore Willem Van Wyck 27th in the 200 individual medley (2:47.4), Driscoll 28th in the 50 freestyle (26.66), Bossingham 30th in the 50 freestyle (26.93) and Grilley 30th in the 200 freestyle (2:31.03).
