The West Salem High School boys basketball team will open its WIAA Division 2 state tournament with a game against Whitefish Bay at the Kohl Center in Madison on Friday.
The Panthers (24-4) were awarded the second seed for semifinal pairings and will match up with the Blue Dukes (22-6) in a game that will follow a matchup between top-seeded Slinger (24-4) and fourth-seeded McFarland (23-5) at 1:35 p.m.
That puts West Salem on the court at around 3:15 or 3:30 p.m. The Division 2 championship game tips off at 6:35 p.m. Saturday.
