MENOMONIE — The La Crosse/West Salem co-op boys swim team picked up victories in three events, but Menomonie was able to hold it off for a 90-80 dual victory on Thursday.
The co-op, which includes Logan, Central and West Salem, won the 200-yard medley relay when Bennett Bossingham, Camden Daykin, Gabe Driscoll and Parker Wolff combined for a time of 2 minutes, 4.25 seconds.
Bossingham also won the 100 backstroke in 1:11.85, and Daykin claimed the win in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:16.78. Driscoll was second in the breaststroke (1:20.03), and teammate Cole Schultz was second in the backstroke (1:16.77).
Nathan Grilley was second in the 200 freestyle (2:29.41), Wolff was second in the 200 individual medley (2:35.82), Daykin was second in the 100 freestyle (1:01.89).
The 200 freestyle relay — Daykin, James Richardson, Driscoll and Wolff — was second in 1:51.36, and the 400 freestyle relay — Grilley, Richardson, Charlie Larson and Bossingham — matched that finish with a 4:24.78.
