CALEDONIA — A tie-breaking shot sent the Caledonia High School boys basketball down to defeat on Thursday night.
St. Charles broke a tie with on a basket with 2.4 seconds left to beat the Warriors 63-61 in a battle between Three Conference Conference teams in opposite divisions.
The Warriors (7-4) lost for the second time in three games and were led by sophomore Grant King’s 17 points. King scored 13 of those in the first half, which the Saints closed out with a 32-29 lead.
Junior Jacoby Hammell also scored 16 for Caledonia, which next plays at Dover-Eyota (7-3) on Monday.
The Warriors made six 3-pointers, and Colin Stemper and Anthony Hahn each made two.
