Tuesday boys swimming: Onalaska co-op racks up event victories in win over La Crosse/West Salem

ONALASKA — The Onalaska co-op boys swim team emerged with a 105-62 victory over the La Crosse/West Salem co-op at the Onalaska YMCA on Tuesday.

The Onalaska co-op, which also includes swimmers from Holmen, Aquinas and Onalaska Luther, won all but one event in recording the victory.

Seth Russell had in first-place points in four events for Onalaska by winning the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 0.81 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 5:29.64. He also swam with the winning 200 freestyle relay (1:46.56) and 400 freestyle relay (4:04.77).

Daniel Ott and Deacon Durnil each won one event and swam with two winning relays.

Ott won the 200 individual medley (2:31.74) and swam with the 200 medley relay (2:01.5) and 400 freestyle relay. Durnil won the 100 backstroke (1:04.19) and swam with the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.

Wesley Ranis won the 100 freestyle (1:03.26) and was part of the 200 freestyle relay, and Kyle Stephany swam with the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.

Warrick Ranis was part of the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays, Austin Bork swam with the 400 freestyle relay, and Parker Nagel won the 50 freestyle (27.27).

La Crosse/West Salem was led by a victory from Camden Daykin in the 100 breaststroke (1:18.97). Daykin was also part of the runner-up 200 medley relay (2:07.82), the runner-up 200 freestyle relay (1:51.42) and placed second in the 50 freestyle (28.19).
