LA CROSSE — The Aquinas High School boys wrestling team swept a pair of MVC dual meets at the Reinhart Athletic Complex on Tuesday.
The Blugolds, who are ranked first in Division 3 by Wisconsin Grappler, beat Onalaska/Luther 71-10 and Sparta 59-24.
Aquinas won eight of 10 wrestled matches against the Hilltoppers and eight of 12 wrestled against the Spartans.
Sparta also beat Onalaska/Luther 61-18.
Sophomore Martez Sheard won twice by pin for Aquinas at 132 pounds. Freshman Jacob Penzkover (150), junior Grady Nicklay (157) and senior Waylon Hargrove (175 and 165) also pinned two opponents for the Blugolds.
Aquinas senior Marcus Klar won once by technical fall at 175 and once by pin at 165.
Onalaska/Luther senior Grady Dunnum won both of his matches at 215 by pin.

CALEDONIA — The Warriors picked up two victories in a loss to the Cougars, who are ranked seventh in Class AA by The Guillotine.
Senior Will Allen won by decision at 172, and sophomore Cooper Allen by technical fall at 215.
