WEST SALEM — Five players scored at least once as the West Salem High School ASL soccer team pulled out a 9-5 victory over Onalaska on Thursday.
Bri Smith scored three times and Luci Bakke and Eli Greil twice each for the Panthers, who also received goals from Cam Arndt and David Chandler.
Coach Ashly Serres said the hustle of Brentlee Cleveland, Hunter Stello and Hunter P.G. was instrumental in the performance of the team.
Holmen 7, Black River Falls 4
BLACK RIVER FALLS — Wade Schuster scored the first three goals for the Vikings in a road victory over the Tigers.
Schuster gave Holmen the first three goals in what became a 5-0 lead before Black River Falls tightened things up with three straight goals of its own.
The Vikings took that lead when Nick Hermann and Gabriella Villareal gave them their fourth and fifth goals.
Holmen pushed its lead to 7-3 on goals from Andrew Bell and Aiden Romskog with five minutes remaining before Black River Falls scored one more time.
Carter Van Lin played a good game in goal for Holmen, which was pushed by the energy and support it received from the bench as had solid all-around contribution both offensively and defensively.
