BLACK RIVER FALLS — The Onalaska Luther and West Salem high school boys golf shot 177s and tied for third place in a Coulee Conference meet at Skyline Golf Course in Black River Falls on Thursday.
The Knights and Panthers finished seven shots behind second-place Westby/Viroqua and eight behind first-place Black River Falls. Arcadia was sixth with a 188.
West Salem senior Kyle Hehli was medalist with a 1-over-par 37. Hehli birdied No. 3 and carded bogeys at No. 5 and No. 6 to beat Westby/Viroqua’s Brooks Hoffland by one shot.
Luther freshman Robert Bruns tied for third with a 41, and senior teammate Ian Bass tied for sixth at 42. Arcadia senior Stryder Miller and West Salem junior Coen Knutson were part of a tie for 10th at 44, and Arcadia freshman Landon Jaszewski finished in a tie for 14th at 45.
Luther seniors Will Huelskamp and Synclair Byus and Arcadia senior Carson Schultz tied for 18th with 47s.

HOLMEN — The Hilltoppers beat the Vikings at Drugan’s Castle Mound.
Onalaska freshman Rylan Tomashek was medalist with a 4-over 74 and birdied No. 1 and No. 7. He shot an even-par 35 on the front nine.
Seniors John Werwinski and Noah Chenault and freshman Colten Schroeder followed with 81s.
