Tuesday ASL report: Van Lin hits two home runs in Holmen win over Onalaska

ONALASKA — The Holmen High School ASL wiffle ball team has won three straight games.
The Vikings followed up two straight wins with a 16-4 victory over Onalaska on Tuesday.

Carter Van Lin crushed his second home run of the game, and that was followed by a two-run hit by Kian Carlise, a double by Karsen Nelson and an RBI single by Gabrielle Villareal during a big fifth inning that allowed Holmen to pull away.

The Vikings also had a big third inning that included Van Lin’s first home run, run-scoring hits from Carlisle and Gabe Schams and sacrifice flies from Nelson and Jaiden Lambright.

Carlisle and Jack Teagan knocked in runs in the first inning, and Holmen kept Onalaska scoreless with a double play in the bottom of the first.

Carly Langlois, Andrew Bell and Jett Lewis pushed the lead to 6-0 by plating runs in the second, and Carlisle caught two fly balls in the bottom of the second.

Nick Hermann drove in a Holmen run in the fourth, and Josie Colombo finished the game by retiring Onalaska in order in the bottom of the fifth. Colombo and Bell formed an effective battery with Bell behind the plate.
