HOLMEN — The Holmen High School girls soccer team started its season with a 2-1 nonconference victory over visiting Marshfield on Monday. The Vikings scored both of their goals after halftime to battle back against the Tigers.
Sophomore Lydia Sader was there to break a 1-1 tie in the 76th minute when Marshfield’s goalie couldn’t cleanly handle a header sent her way by Holmen freshman Saige Ratajski.
The Vikings tied the game at 1 when junior Peyton Schneider made good on a crossing pass from senior Regan Moran.

ARCADIA — The Hilltoppers had six players score to begin the season with a shutout of the Raiders.

LA CROSSE — Alysha Hayes tied the game at 1, but the Mustangs controlled things from there at Swanson Field.
