HUDSON — The Logan/Central/West Salem boys swim team placed eighth and the Holmen/Onalaska/Aquinas co-op ninth out of 11 teams at the WIAA Division 1 Hudson Sectional on Saturday.
The La Crosse co-op finished with 123 points and the Holmen co-op with 73 in a meet that was won by Hudson (365). Eau Claire Memorial/North was second (327.5) and Stevens Point third (326).
Senior Nathan Ivens qualified for the state meet in two individual events and senior Daniel Lenz in one for the Logan co-op.
Ivens advanced with a third-place finish and time of 22.05 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and third-place finish and time of 48.65 in the 100-yard freestyle.
Lenz qualified by placing second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.68.
Lenz also placed ninth in the 100 freestyle (52.42) and swam with Ivens, Nosh Stewart and Brett Jefferies in sixth-place performances in the 200 medley relay (1:46.58) and 200 freestyle relay (1:34.57).
Stewart was also 10th in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:39.05.
The Holmen co-op’s top finishes were eighth place in the 400 freestyle relay and ninth in the 200 freestyle relay.
Daniel Ott, Warrick Ranis, Seth Russell and Deacon Durnil were timed at 3:47.2 in the 400 free relay, and Wesley Ranis, Grayson Wirth, Kyle Stephany and Landon Baarsdeth finished the 200 free relay in 1:49.2.
