ARCADIA — Sophomore Carter Wegman scored a career-high 27 points and set a school record by making nine 3-pointers as the Arcadia High School boys basketball team beat Neillsville 74-38 at the Wanek Center on Tuesday.
Wegman made six 3-pointers in the second half to help the Raiders (9-7) also set a team record for 3-pointers in a game with 16 as they won their fourth game in a row.
Sophomore Trevor Pronschinske and freshman Deklyn Grzadzielewski also made three 3s each on the way to nine points for Arcadia. Junior Max Blaschke also contributed to the record with a 3-pointer.
Senior Kaiden Rotering added 10 points for the Raiders, who host Westby in a Coulee Conference game on Friday.

ONALASKA — The Hilltoppers (12-4) put a rare two-game losing streak behind it with a one-sided win over the Raiders (9-7).
Junior Ian Kowal scored a game-high 18 points for Onalaska, which also received 13 from senior Broden Steiner and 13 from sophomore Brendan Chenault.
Onalaska (4-2), which is tied with Holmen for second place in the MVC, plays at Sparta (3-3) on Friday and at Central (3-2) on Saturday as it tries to pressure first-place Aquinas (5-1).

LA CROSSE — The Spartans (11-5, 3-3) snapped a 42-game losing streak to the RiverHawks (7-5, 3-2) and beat them for the first time since Feb. 14, 2003 at the Mark Sutton Memorial Gymnasium.
Sophomore Anthony Jones scored 13 points for Central, which was outscored in each half and shot just 26.3 percent from the floor by making 15 of 57 shots. The Spartans had a 29-24 halftime lead before the RiverHawks made 6 of 32 shots in the second half.
Senior Frankie Wilk added eight points and senior Derrick Pangier six points and a team-high seven rebounds for Central.
