CASHTON — The Luther High School girls basketball team stretched its winning streak to eight games after three players reached double figures in a 59-37 nonconference victory over Cashton on Thursday.
Senior Macie Neumeister scored a game-high 15 points, and freshman Natalie Hackbarth made three first-half 3-pointers on her way to 14 in a game the Knights (8-1) led by 24 points after one half.
The Eagles (6-4) were held to 13 points in the first half after winning three of their previous four games.
Hackbarth made four of Luther’s five 3-pointers, and Neumeister had the other.
The Knights made 14 of 19 attempted free throws, and senior Allie Zittel — she has averaged 15 points over the past three games — scored 10 of her 12 points in the first half.
Luther plays at Durand-Arkansaw (6-2) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
