ONALASKA — The Sparta High School wrestling team started its season with a pair of dual victories in matchups with Onalaska/Luther and Adams-Friendship on Tuesday.
Senior Devon Lietzau pinned both of his opponents as the Spartans posted a 51-25 victory over the Hilltoppers and a 66-22 win over the Green Devils. Lietzau, a WIAA Division 1 state qualifier last season, pinned Adams-Friendship’s Boede Wallner in 4 minutes, 47 seconds and Onalaska/Luther’s Sam Sulentic in 2:19 in 144-pound bouts.

ONALASKA — The Hilltoppers recorded a split in their duals with a win over the Norsemen.
Grady Dunnum recorded two pins at 215, and Mason Richardson had a pin and a major decision at 285 for Onalaska/Luther.

ONALASKA — The Norsemen salvaged a split by beating the Green Devils.
Jayden Geier was a double winner for Westby with a decision against Adams-Friendship and pin against the Hilltoppers at 138.

VIROQUA — The Falcons swept their dual meets.
Drew Powell pinned North Crawford/Seneca’s Alec Mulholland in 36 seconds and Viroqua’s Alex Klum in 4:48 for 144-pound victories for Brookwood, and teammate Kai Pyykkonen won by pin at 150 against North Crawford/Seneca and by pin at 157 against Viroqua.
