MINNEAPOLIS — The Caledonia High School boys basketball team picked up its second win of the week by beating Hermantown 90-63 at Minnehaha Academy on Saturday.
Sophomore Grant King led the Warriors with 26 points, and junior Jacoby Hammell added 18. Senior Zeke Gengler scored 12 points for Caledonia.
King made two 3-pointers and scored 20 points in the first half. Hammell had 10 in the first half as the Warriors built a 45-30 lead and gave coach Brad King the 201st win of his coaching career.
GIRLS
Caledonia 74, Byron 67
CALEDONIA — The Warriors (3-1) collected their third victory in a row and became the first team this season to beat the Bears (3-1).
Senior Aubrie Klug made four 3-pointers and poured in 34 points for Caledonia, which broke away from a 30-30 halftime tie. Senior Nicole Banse added 15 points for the Warriors, who made 23 of 28 free throws.

Chippewa Falls Invitational
CHIPPEWA — The Holmen/Onalaska/Aquinas/Luther co-op placed fourth with 256 points, and the Central/Logan/West Salem team was seventh with 211.
The Holmen co-op led the way in event finishes with a pair of victories. Warrick Ranis, William Roessler, Deacon Durnil and Seth Russell teamed up to win the 200-yard medley relay in 2 minutes, 1.37 seconds, and Durnil added a win in the 100 backstroke with his time of 1:03.45.
Russell was also second in the 500 freestyle (5:31.5) and third in the 200 individual medley (2:27.3). Ranis was third in the 100 backstroke (1:07.85), and Durnil, Ranis, Conner Peterson, Russell, Isaac Getke, Kyle Stephany, Austin Bork and Wesley Ranis were third in the eight-person 400 freestyle relay (3:40.71).
Roessler, Getke, Peterson and Bork were also fifth in the 200 freestyle relay (2:00.07).
The La Crosse co-op was led by a back-to-back finish from Parker Wolff and Gabe Driscoll in the 100 freestyle. Wolff was fourth (59.4) and Driscoll fifth (59.77).
Driscoll and Camden Daykin also placed fifth (1:20.78) and sixth (1:21.62), respectively, in the 100 breaststroke.
Bennett Bossingham, Charlie Larson, James Richardson and Daykin also teamed up for fourth place in the 200 freestyle relay (1:54.89), and Nathan Grilley, Daykin, Driscoll and Wolff were fifth in the 200 medley relay (2:06.96).
