Tuesday ASL report: Logan, West Salem/Bangor emerge with victories

LA CROSSE — The Logan High School ASL soccer team had six players scored at least once and two of them score twice in an 8-2 victory over Onalaska on Tuesday.

Davante Atwell and Levi Finney each scored two goals for the Rangers worked on being more aggressive in pursuing the ball and and working together offensively. Improvement in those two aspects led to quick improvement.

Jansen Schneider, Noah Froegel Dylan Slabaugh and Neveah Dyon also scored for Logan in the victory.

West Salem/Bangor 8, Central 5

LA CROSSE — Cam Arndt and Lexi Randall scored twice each for the Panthers in a win over the RiverHawks.

Emma Field, Levi Wulf, Eli Greil and Luci Bakke also scored for West Salem/Bangor, and Field scored her first goal of the season.

Wulf, Arndt and Bentlee Cleveland all took turns playing in goal for the Panthers, who succeeded with solid encouragement from one another.

Black River Falls 4, Holmen 2

HOLMEN — The Vikings had their unbeaten season come to an end at the hands of the Tigers at the Bernie L. Ferry Fieldhouse.

Holmen emphasized defense at the beginning of the game and hgad some trouble finding an offensive flow. Gabe Schams scored his first goal of the season, and Kian Carlisle followed with one of his own for a 2-0 lead, but Black River Falls scored three times before the end of the first half and held the Vikings scoreless in the second half to become the first team to beat them.
