TREMPEALEAU — Sophomore Finley Schams finished sixth overall and helped the Onalaska High School girls golf team place second at the Trempealeau Mountain Invitational on Tuesday.
Schams shot an 18-over-par 87 to help the Hilltoppers to a team score of 375 in a meet that was won handily by Tomah (333).
Schams shot a 7-over 42 on the front nine and finished it with pars on Nos. 8 and 9. She also parred 15 and 16 on the back nine.
Aquinas senior Molly Swift and Central/Logan senior Elena Wagner joined Schams in the individual top 10 with Swift’s 92 good for eighth place and Wagner’s 93 good for 10th.
Wagner’s score helped Central/Logan place seventh at 459, and Swift’s led the Blugolds to eighth place (465). Arcadia was ninth (469) and led by junior Riley Walters and her round of 112.
Onalaska also received scoring rounds from senior Rickie Tillotson (13th place, 94), senior Sydney Kranig (14th, 96) and junior Becka Mohr (14th, 96), while Central/Logan received a 97 (16th) from senior Jaymeson Buxton and Aquinas a 105 from senior Lucy Reyerson and 117 from senior Hayden Zehren.
The Raiders received a 113 from junior Kalyce Sobotta and a 115 from junior Amaya Schlesser.
