It’s been difficult for any local team to challenge Tomah High School for an MVC girls golf championship in recent years.
Aquinas placed a distant second and Onalaska third to the Timberwolves last fall, while Arcadia placed third in the Coulee Conference.
Here is a list of players to keep your eyes on as the season gets underway, although more will emerge. Players were chosen based on performances last season for schools in the couleesports.com coverage area, which includes Aquinas, Central, Logan, Onalaska, Onalaska Luther, Holmen, West Salem, Arcadia, Melrose-Mindoro and Caledonia.
