BLACK RIVER FALLS — The West Salem High School boys tennis team scored 26 points to win handily the Coulee Conference tournament championship on Monday.
The Panthers finished comfortably ahead of second-place Viroqua (11) and won titles at all seven flights.
Kyle Hehli (17-2) won at No 1 singles with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 victories. He beat Viroqua’s Owen King for the championship after taking down Mauston’s Antonio Perez by the same scores.
Jack Noelke (13-6) swept through the semifinal and beat Viroqua’s Soren Declerq 6-0, 6-7 (6), 10-6 in the No. 3 singles final. Ethan Crusan won both of his matches in straight sets at No. 4 singles.
The No. 1 doubles team of Andrew Hatz and Tyson Labus pulled out a 6-4, 7-6 (4) win the championship over Mauston’s Jesus Gomez Nava and Xzavior Smith, and Jason Lu and Joseph Troendle won twice in straight sets at No. 2.
West Salem pulled out the sweep with two dominant wins from Casey Mathison and Jed Miller at No. 3.
